EMS Program Receives Support Dollars

Regional partners are stepping up in a big way to funnel more Emergency Medical Services workers into our communities.

The EMS program at GCC has been awarded an approximate $70k sponsorship to cover the cost of tuition, books, and fees from the Michigan Center for Rural Health. The program pays full tuition for up to 20 students in our upcoming October cohort, and includes a $950 stipend to each student to cover expenses.  The Superior Health Foundation has also awarded GCC approximately $25k to use over the span of a year and also covers tuition, books, fees and  instructor coordinators to teach the trainings. All are vital to the success of the program and to get more students in the field working.

We are so grateful for our area partners who are financially assisting our students and the program, as well as those providing clinical settings for student training.
