Students

Your GCC Email Address 

  • If you provided a Preferred Name on your application, your email address will be of this format:  preferredname.lastname@students.gogebic.edu
  • If you did not provide a preferred name, then your email address will be of the format:  firstname.lastname@students.gogebic.edu

Office.com (Your GCC Microsoft Account)

  1. Navigate to Office.com: Office 365 Login | Microsoft Office
  2. Select the “Sign In” button
  3. When prompted, use your GCC Email Account and Email Password to sign in.
    (This information is included in your acceptance letter.)

Moodle

  1. Navigate to Gogebic’s Moodle login page: Moodle Sign-in
  2. Select the “Single Sign-On (SSO)” button
  3. If you have already signed into Office.com, select the corresponding ID badge that has your GCC email or student ID
  4. Otherwise, enter in your GCC email account credentials to sign in.

Email

  1. Navigate to: Sign in to Outlook (microsoftonline.com)
  2. Enter your Email Address and password
  3. Select “Sign In”
  • Alternatively: You may sign into Office.com (see above) and select the "Outlook" application on the left-hand bar.

Phones

  • For most phones, the easiest way to set up email is by removing the existing account and adding back the new account.
    • Type of Server: Exchange or Corporate

      • (If it asks, the name of the server is outlook.office365.com)
    • UserName: Use your full GCC email address

    • Password: Your email password


My-GCC

  1. Navigate to the MY-GCC Login Page: My GCC | Welcome to My GCC (gogebic.edu)
  2. Enter your Student ID
  3. Click the “Login” button
  4. If you have already signed into Office.com or Moodle, select the corresponding ID badge that has your GCC email or Student ID
  5. Otherwise, enter your GCC email account credentials as prompted to sign in.

Blackbaud - AcademicWorks (Award Management)

  1. Navigate to: All Opportunities - Gogebic Community College Scholarships (academicworks.com)
  2. Select the small green "Sign In" button in the upper right-hand corner
  3. Select "Sign In With Your Institution"
  4. If you have already signed into Office.com or Moodle, select the corresponding ID badge that has your GCC email or Student ID
  5. Otherwise, enter your GCC email account credentials as prompted to sign in.

Online Library/Database Access (Off-Campus Instructions)

  2. Sign-Into MyGCC (See Instructions)
  3. Follow the instructions contained in the document here:
    • GCC Library Off-Campus Access
    • NOTE: If the link prompts you to sign-in to MyGCC the first time; log in, then return to this page and select the link again.

On-Campus Computers

  1. Enter your Student ID and password when signing into a computer on campus
    (This will eventually also be your GCC email address as well, we're working on it!)

EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM 

Note: Blackboard may not be available for register until the new semester starts

  1. Navigate to the Gogebic Blackboard portal: Gogebic Community College (bbcportal.com)
  2. Select “Sign Me Up!”
  3. Continue to provide your information on the page that follows
  4. Accept the Blackboard Connect User Agreement and select “Continue”
  5. Once registered, opt-in to the notifications you would like to receive.

Maintaining your password for several accounts can get confusing quickly. We are working toward a single account solution to reduce this complexity and enhance your educational experience. Until then, here are some additional instructions regarding your passwords.

Office.com/Moodle/Email/On-Campus PCs

Coming Soon - Self-Service Password Reset through Microsoft. To set this up on your own, visit: https://aka.ms/MFAsetup and add at least a phone number to be able to reset your password via text/call. Other options may be available.

Other Sites and Applications

Until we are able to continue integrating your student account with other services, you must manage other accounts independently.
