Director of Ski Area Management

Keith Tuan is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the ski industry, complemented by a rich background in ski area management, ski instruction, and golf operations. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Ski Area Business Management from Northern Michigan University and an Associate of Applied Technology in Ski Area Management from Gogebic Community College.

Throughout his career, Keith has held various key positions at Waterville Valley Resort, including Ticket Scanning Supervisor & Lift Operations Administrator, Mountain Operations Administrator, IT Specialist, and Internship under General Manager and Gogebic Alumni, Tim Smith. In these capacities, he has demonstrated his ability to lead teams, streamline operations, and enhance customer service and safety measures.

Keith's widespread expertise in the industry covers 11 different ski resorts across 6 states and international experience in Japan, Germany, and New Zealand. He has taught skiing to a diverse clientele and managed ski school operations, while showcasing his versatility and comprehensive skill set. His qualifications include a Level 3 Professional Ski Instructor certification and Canadian Avalanche Skills Training (AST) Level 1 certification, underscoring his expertise and commitment to safety in alpine environments.
