Join us for the First Annual GCC Snow Slam!
To celebrate winter in the Upper Penisula, we have decided to host a student and community event to bring everyone together to enjoy our winter. Students participate in all events/activities free of charge, including our Copper Country Center students! There will be a van leaving from the Copper Country Center to bring students to the Ironwood campus (please sign up in the main office at the CCC). We invite the community to join us for this fun event!
Schedule of Events:
11am - Tailgating before the Samsons Women's game - We will be grilling up some hamburgers and veggie
burgers to be served before the game. Students eat free! There will be outdoor games
and Sam the Samson will be on hand for photos.
Noon - Women's Basketball Game vs. Community Christian College - Concessions will be available during the games and Sam will be entertaining the
crowd. Students entry is free.
1:15pm - GCC Snowlympics - Students gather your teams to participate in our outdoor Snowlympics competition!
We have fun outdoor games that don't require skill, just laughter! Winning team will
recieve medals and prizes. The bonfire pit will be blazing in front of the dorms,
with a free s'mores station available. Sign your team up below.
2pm - Men's Basketball Game vs. MN North - Hibbing - Concessions will be available during the games and Sam will be entertaining the
crowd. Students entry is free.
3:30 - 6pm - (GCC Students Only) Free Skiing, Snowboarding, and Tubing for Students
at Mt. Zion - Free lift pass and rentals, and tubing will be available to those who show their
student IDs. We will be providing a free Taco/Nacho bar for GCC students in the Chalet from 5-6pm.
