Jared Evans

Student Success Coordinator

Jared joined GCC in 2024 as the Student Success Coordinator at the Copper Country Center. Born and raised in Marquette, Jared stayed home after high school to attend Northern Michigan University, where he received his bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Studies. He then moved south of the border to Wisconsin, where he advised international students at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. He also earned his master's degree in Public Administration from UWO while employed there. Jared's happy to be back in the UP, and his office is always open to give students a helping hand!

Jared lives in Houghton with his fiancée, Addie. He enjoys camping, long hikes, and playing pick-up basketball.
