Gogebic Community College's Reopening Plan

To facilitate student needs, Gogebic Community College has announced plans to open campus for classes for the Fall, 2020 semester which begins on Monday, August 24. “At this time, GCC is making plans to open our campus in Ironwood, as well as in the Copper Country, to serve students in the classroom,” said Dr. George McNulty, GCC President.

The Fall class schedule was amended to reflect which classes will be in the classroom, on-line, ITV and using Zoom technology.

The college plan also includes reconfiguring classrooms to allow more personal space so that students can feel safe in the classroom setting.

Offices in Ironwood and Houghton are open to the public, but we encourage all visitors to make an appointment prior to entering campus. Currently, masks are required when entering either facility. The college has protocols in place to minimize the spread of COVID-19 based on the CDC and State of Michigan guidelines.
