Physics

Nature of the Work

Physicists explore and identify basic principles governing the structure and behavior of matter, the generation and transfer of energy, and the interaction of matter and energy. Most physicists work in research and development. Some also design research equipment. Most physicists specialize in one of many sub-fields such as elementary particle physics, nuclear, atomic, and molecular physics, etc.
