For Sale: Student-Built Tiny Home~ Big Value in a Small Space

GCC Construction Technology students are proud to present a one-of-a-kind, custom-built tiny home — designed and constructed as a capstone project by the next generation of construction professionals.

Built With Purpose

This project showcases the hands-on training, attention to detail, and teamwork our students develop throughout their program. Under the guidance of licensed instructors and industry experts, each step of the construction — from framing and insulation to cabinetry and finishes — meets professional standards.

Home Features:

  • Size: 280 sqare feet with 2 utility storage garages at the rear

  • Sleeping Loft: Cozy and carpeted space with room for a queen mattress and two skylights overhead

  • Kitchen: Modern custom design with space for energy-efficient appliances and spacious countertop

  • Bathroom: Fully equipped with shower, toilet, sink, and laundry hook-ups

  • Utilities: Wired for electricity, plumbing, and heating with 100 amp service panel

  • Exterior: Durable LP Smart siding with Diamond Kote finish, metal roof, cultured stone accents, and trailer-mounted for mobility (triple #7000 axles)

  • Eco-Friendly: Built using sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems, fully spray foam insulate walls, floor, and ceiling

  • Other Notable Details: Tongue and groove full 3/4 white oak ceiling and trim with basswood walls, plumbing prepped for water heater (natural gas or electric on demand)

Tiny Home Open House

Open House Dates and Times: 

  • Tuesday, June 17th from 5-7pm CST
  • Saturday, June 21st from 10am - 12pm CST

Bidding Process

Bids will be due to Gogebic Community College on July 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM (CST).

The minimum bid on the 2025 Tiny Home is $99,500.  Sealed bids will need to be sent to the following address:
