GCC Women's BasketballBasketball Clinic - June 24-27, 2013Coach: Stephanie Justinak
Stephanie is a graduate of Luther L. Wright High School where she lettered three years in both volleyball and basketball. Stephanie went on to attend GCC and played basketball for the Lady Samsons under Coach Dennis Mackey in 1990-91 and 1991-92. After earning an Associate of Arts Degree in Elementary Education, Stephanie transferred to Northland College where she received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in social studies in 1996. After college, Stephanie received her first teaching position within the Clayton School District where she taught in the middle school and coached volleyball and basketball from 1996-1999. She then took a position with the Ashland School District from 1999-2001 where she taught eighth grade civics and reading at the middle school. Prior to receiving her position at GCC, Stephanie was teaching seventh grade social studies and reading in the Cudahy School District from 2001-2007. She was also coaching junior varsity and middle school volleyball during her tenure in Cudahy. Student-Athlete Physical FormStudent-athletes at Gogebic Community College must receive a satisfactory sports physical prior to participating in any intercollegiate sports activity. Before a student-athlete may practice, he/she must have this physical form on file with the Athletic Director. Completion of this physical is the responsibility of the student-athlete prior to the beginning of the sport season. Please note: a successfully passed physical is valid for the academic year. GCC Basketball Booster ClubThe GCC Basketball Booster Club was formed in 1993 to support the men's and women's basketball programs. Yearly projects include fundraising activities for athletic scholarships, equipment and supplies, and general support of the programs. Dues are $25 for singles, $40 for couples, or $10 for students each year. Meetings are held monthly throughout the basketball season. To become a Booster Club Member, print and fill out this form.
