HOW TO PREPARE FOR STUDENT LOAN PAYMENTS TO RESTART

The COVID-19 Loan Payment Pause, and 0% interest rates are ending. 

Student loan interest will resume on Sept. 1, 2023, and payments will be due in October 2023. 

1. KNOW WHO YOUR LOAN SERVICER IS

To find out who your loan servicer is, visit your account dashboard and scroll down to the "My Loan Servicers" section or call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1.800.433.3243

2. UPDATE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION

Make sure your contact information is correct on your loan servicer's website and StudentAid.gov

3. REVIEW REPAYMENT PLANS

Contact your loan servicer if you would like to discuss repayment plan options or change your repayment plan. You can get information about all of the federal student loans you have received and find the loan servicer for your loans by logging in to "My Federal Student Aid."

4. SIGN UP FOR AUTOPAY

Never miss a payment. Sign up for automatic debit through your federal loan servicer to have your payments automatically taken from your bank account.
